The Deranged Creative

Trapped in the crevice of my mind thinking what’s the purpose of this meaningful creation in front of me?

Does this product provide value to others or is this some lingering thought in the back of my mind that was needed to be brought out?

Deep down, I am often seen as crazy. Locked in a cage with my thoughts and seen that the narrative of being different, weird, odd, will make me an outcast of society.

People will question me for the things I truly want to create and they perceive me as something that I am not.

All of the thoughts, deepest desires make me sound as if I’m Edgar Allen Poe or need to be in the psych ward.

Well, do I?

Creatives have a side to them nobody else can picture or imagine what they’re going through. My frontal lobe is making me twitch my thumbs or pickup a paint brush that’s right in front of me.

See, I sound like a belong in a psych ward but is anyone even reading these things? The fantasy that lies in my mind is something beyond reach of me day dreaming the day and everything else that comes with it.

Reading this makes me sound completely average to the norm or do I sound like some “woke” person just cause I read books and podcast my thoughts and feelings to the world?

Nobody ever truly knows.

That’s why he’s the deranged creative.

People think he’s out of the norm or just too crazy to grasp concepts of what the average person is thinking on a day to day basis.

The Internet Divided

The internet is constantly divided by two groups of people.

You see this people in your everyday life 24/7. It can be in the library, school, work, or at a sporting event.

We are constantly producing information by our smartphones or creating content and information.

As you would call them, consumers & producers.

Mindlessly scrolling on the internet, watching content produced by other people would make us consumers. Consuming various forms of media in our everyday life. You’re consuming media without even realizing it.

Thanks to Karl JK Hedin @karljkhedin for making this photo available freely on Unsplash 🎁

Did you read that right?

You’re consuming media without even realizing it. A stop sign, street lights, billboards, traffic signals, a TV, whatever it might be, you’re consuming.

Now, I am not saying it’s a bad thing to be a consumer, I am saying that we need to create more than we produce.

The internet rewards content creators.

You see content creators all the time getting rewarded for all their hard work & it’s shown.

The world never stops for content creators and maybe I see why people call me crazy constantly. Creating and writing stuff out of thin air.

No matter what, this is my crack like the 80s. Constantly wanting more and more. Creative roles flow through my veins and my bloodstream.

I will create till the wheels fall off. You can scroll and find new dress ideas on Pinterest while you’re sitting here and reading this post.

You see what I just did there? Of course you did, it’s the point of the whole post.

See you on the creator side people.

In The Midst Of Adversity

Adversity can challenge our beliefs

A belief of how we truly see life

Can take things in strife

But that’s the nature of life

It’s never going to be glitter and sunshine

The bad days turn us into who we are

Leaving scars to determine who we truly are as one

Could this be the awakening of the rising sun?

The term adversity is used by many but who actually goes through it?

Makes you wonder why people struggle so much in life

Then you fly higher than a kite once you feel that adrenaline rush

In the midst of adversity can only show our true colors

Rest in the End, Not the Middle

Today I learned something important.

It was from one of the best basketball players that ever played the game.

Not Michael Jordan, Magic, Shaq, or Lebron.

It was Kobe Bryant.

Inspired a whole generation of kids, dentists, librarians, and just anyone who watched him.

He had a speech at an award show and he was talking about never giving up.

That speech right there in there inspired me to the extent of doing everything I can in my lifetime.

He said a quote that I won’t forget to this day, as he said ” Finish in the end, not in the middle”

We as humans seem to half ass things and not to take it seriously.

That mentality is the wrong mentality to have because it leads to NOWHERE.

Finish what you started or you’ll end up in regret with the choices that you made for yourself.

Trust me, inspiration goes a long way and I want to do the same for other people reading this blog.

You can be better than you were yesterday with hard-work, determination, and sacrifice.

If this doesn’t motivate you to work harder, I don’t know what will but please keep going.

You will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Scary Truth About Life

Life is scary.

We don’t know how or when we will die.

This precious life could be taken from us at any given moment and nobody will save you.

Not your parents, mentor, friends, and close family.

You may be confused about what I am saying right now but what I am trying to say nobody in this world will save you.

Michael Jordan, the most prolific player, of our generation worked for everything he has in this life but wasn’t always the top player like he is today.

He got cut from his school team and was devasted to say the least. That was the only thing that was one his mind and even his Mom told him to get better so he had a chance to leave him behind.

Now look where he’s at now.

In today’s generation, parents would baby their son’s or daughter’s saying they earned it or deserve a chance but in reality, they don’t.

Nothing is given in this life.

No one is coming to save you, get better, and don’t change the standard of your goals.

Always set them a bar higher than before. You will be glad you did and in this life the only person capable of reaching those goals will only be you and you only.

Work hard in silence and show them why they shouldn’t count you out.
